Contest Rules
• Game: Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock
• Platform: XBOX 360, PlayStation3, Nintendo Wii
• Song: Cliffs of Dover by Eric Johnson
• Difficulty Level: Expert
• Contestant Age: 13-19 (Teenager)
• Contest Date Range: June 15th – August 31st
• Availability: Must be able to attend Awakening Music Festival on September 13th, 2008
Contestant Instructions
• Record a video of yourself playing “Cliffs of Dover” on expert level with the following…
• A brief introduction including your name and why you want to play at Awakening Fest
• Video footage must show you selecting “Cliffs of Dover” on expert level
• Video footage must show you and the TV in the same frame
• Video footage must include a close-up of the final score
• Post your video on a website of your choosing (YouTube, MySpace, Personal Website, etc.)
• Go to the Guitar Hero Competition link, and click on “Submit a Video”
• Fill out the form with your information and attach a link to your video
Contestants will be judged on the following three categories:
• Guitar Hero Score: total score received at the end of the song
• Stage Presence: this includes personality, showmanship, intensity, etc.
• Tricks: be creative (behind the back, eyes closed, spins, etc.)
Your video will be reviewed by the Awakening Fest team and they will determine the top 20 videos. If you are selected for the top 20, you will be asked to provide a digital copy of your video to be posted on the Awakening Fest website.
Please note that the top 20 videos can change during the contest, as we will be reviewing entries each week. Contestants are able to submit a video up to 3 times, so feel free to submit another video if you feel that you improved upon the original.
The most popular contestants based on website votes and scores given by the Awakening Fest team, will be given a free ticket to Awakening Fest and a free t-shirt. We will hold a final audition live the day of the festival, where we will choose our winner. The winner will be able to play up on stage in front of 10,000+ people, and show everyone how they are a true Guitar Hero.
