When is Awakening Music Festival?

Where do I buy tickets?

You can purchase your tickets online (fast and secure) at www.awakeningfest.com, by phone at 800-965-9342 or you can purchase tickets at the Visit Loudoun located in Leesburg - 112-G South St., SE, Leesburg, VA 20175. - website.

 

What time does the parking lot open?

The parking lot opens at 2:00pm on Friday and 8:00am on Saturday. Please plan ahead as traffic does tend to back up getting into the festival and you do not want to miss any of the bands or activities.

What time does the gates open?

The gates open at 3:00pm on Friday and 10:00am on Saturday. The line to get into the festival usually begins forming about 1 1/2 hours before the gates open. Plan to get there early to get a great spot!

 

Can we camp at the festival?

We do have primitive camping available at the festival. See Camping for more information. On-site cabins and lodges available to rent - see cabins & lodges page for more info.

 

Can I purchase camping spots (tent/RV) the day of the festival?

No, all camping spots must be reserved and paid in advance – as of September 17th. There will be no camping spots sold after September 17th - ends at 11:59pm. If you need a hotel room, please go to the website and review the list of recommended hotels.

 

If I purchase an RV camping spot, can I use it for tent camping?

No, only RVs and campers will be allowed in the RV camping area, and only tents will be allowed in the tent camping area. If people put up tents in the RV camping area, we will ask that the tents be taken down. RVs and campers will not be allowed to enter the tent camping area.

What started the Awakening Music Festival?

The idea of the festival was created after a few individuals who were reading "The Purpose Driven Life, by: Rick Warren" and God laid this event on their hearts. They looked for a way to make an impact in the community. With help from God and a great group of awesome friends, the festival was created in 2003.

 

What is Awakening Music Festival?

Awakening Music Festival is a Christian music festival held in Northern Virginia. Its purpose is to provide a day of fun and fellowship for everyone. Our goal is to introduce Christ through the music, artists and the speakers.

 

Where else can we stay if we do not want to camp?

Awakening Festival has partnered with many local hotels to provide you with great rates. Here is a list of local hotels.

 

How does the festival help support the community?

Awakening Ministries is a non-profit organization. All funds go towards producing the festival. We do not profit from this event. We donate a portion of the proceeds to different local non-profits at the end of the year and we also do a food drive at the festival that is donated to the local food bank.

 

Seating?

The festival is all lawn seating, so bring your blanket and your chairs. NO TENTS , LARGE UMBRELLAS or CANOPIES ALLOWED. Please be respectful to others and their line of site to the stage. If you block others views, we will ask you to move or remove the item blocking the view.

 

Can I leave and come back without having to pay again?

YES! You can leave the festival area and re-enter without having to pay again. You will receive a wristband which will allow you to re-enter. Please make sure you get your wristband if you want to return. If you don’t get a wristband, you will NOT be allowed to re-enter without purchasing another ticket.

 

Who performs at Awakening Music Festival?

A variety of Christian music artists perform at our festival. We bring in local, regional, and nationally known artists who perform a wide range of Contemporary Christian Music. See Artists

 

Are there food vendors at the festival from which we can buy food?

YES! The festival has multiple food vendors which include Moe's, Papa John’s Pizza, fair/festival food vendors and they will be selling food at very reasonable prices. Wraps, Pizza, Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, Italian Sausages, French Fries, Kettle Korn, Ice Cream, Nachos, Funnel cakes and many new food vendors will be available this year! We will also be selling candy, chips, sodas, bottles of water and other snacks.

Will I need to buy tickets for the activities at the festival?

No! All activities are free with your ticket purchase!

 

I just purchased 10 (or more) tickets and need to add three more. Can I buy them at the group rate?

We can’t allow additional tickets to be added to previous orders. Each order has to remain separate. If you want the group rate, you would need to purchase another group of 10 tickets or more (per day/night).

 

Can I purchase 5 tickets for Friday and 5 tickets for Saturday and receive the group rate?

No. The group rate is applied to ticket purchases of 10 or more PER DAY/NIGHT (i.e., you must purchase 10 tickets for Friday or 10 tickets for Saturday to receive the group rate).

 

Will my ticket have a seat number or area number indicating the area I will be sitting?

What should I bring to Awakening Music Festival?

You will want to bring your Awakening Music Festival ticket, blankets, jackets, umbrellas, rain coats, Bible, and your friends.

**Please note that video cameras and other audio recording devices are prohibited. Video cameras will be removed and the person(s) will be escorted out of the festival.

 

What NOT to bring to Awakening Music Festival?

Don't bring alcoholic beverages, glass bottles, video cameras or pets! NO "FREE HUG" SIGNS!! NO TENTS in seating area. Large umbrellas or canopies are allowed in the “tent area” only. **Please note that video cameras and other audio recording devices are prohibited.

 

Is Awakening Music Festival strictly a youth/teen event?

No. Awakening Music Festival is not just a teen event. It is also an event for the whole family with music and activities for all ages.

 

Who is the sponsoring organization for Awakening Music Festival?

Awakening Music Festival was created for the specific purpose of holding an annual Christian music event. The Awakening Music Festival is organized by a committee of volunteers from the Northern Virginia area. This group of volunteers come from a variety of churches representing many denominations. We receive support from local businesses and individuals. See Sponsors.

 

Can we bring our own food?

Yes. You are welcome to bring your own food and coolers. Be aware that they may be searched. No alcoholic beverages or glass containers are allowed. If they are found, they will be confiscated and not returned.

**NO GLASS containers are allowed in the festival.

Please clean up after yourselves - remember – this event is organized by volunteers and we do not want to clean up after everyone.

 

How much are tickets for children?

Children age 6 and under are FREE. All others (age 7 and up) are charged the regular ticket cost.

 

Are animals allowed in the event?

No pets allowed at the festival.

 

Is there a fee for parking?

Parking is FREE!

 

Will there be shade areas?

There is very limited area for shade. There are many large, commercial AMF tents at the festival - visit the vendor and merchandise tents during the day to get out of the sun. We also have a designated area to where you may set up a tent to provide shade or provide a meeting place for your groups – remember, no tents or canopies are allowed in the seating area.

 

How can my band play at the festival?

Every year we invite a couple of local/regional bands to perform at the festival. We are always looking for great bands and if you are interested in being considered, please send your CD and press package to:
